I wish I could say that my erudite writing and trenchant observations were what brings most people to this site. In reality, it is the goofy jokes, pointed cartoons, snarky tweets and other images that make up the Daylight Saving Time meme collection.
And every year I think that I will not be able to make a post because I have already published so very many memes, but every year the internet comes up with a whole pile of new ones. The internet has its downsides, but the endless well of snark never seems to run dry.
(Because it is not at all clear to me that Twitter is going to be reasonable to work with in the future, or if it will even survive, I will be doing my best to credit Twitter users here, but posting something that is not dependent on that platform.)

Here is my first time trying a tiktok embed:

And my second, which is a dark, and not just because we have less sun in the afternoon:

This next one was in the printed paper I still get. (Yes, I'm old.)
I think that one actually captures the change that has happened in the last few years. It once was something that we were all sort of resigned to. Now it is something that we feel we can do something about. I know debate is not the same as action, but it is better than not even debating it!
Baby Yoda is a new addition to the Daylight Saving Time meme universe. Welcome, you are.

Here is one tweet I will embed, and post the graphic in case Twitter goes away. Somehow I missed this classic from 1973!:

Here is a late addition from the Late Show. The jokes just are not confined to the week of the time change any more.
This video, by the way, makes a joke out of something I have speculated on for a while, that Big TV is a part of the reason that we still have to keep changing the clocks twice per year. I wrote about that related to another comedy bit here.
Thanks for being part of the fun.
If you want to know more about Daylight Saving Time, take some time to poke around on this blog, maybe sign up for a very infrequent newsletter in the box at the top right of this page.
Enjoy your extra hour, and if you get SAD starting this Monday at about 5 p.m., come back here and look at some more memes to cheer yourself up, and maybe reach out to a friend and talk. You are, I assure you, not alone.
